Área de Investigación

• Paleoclimatología, Paleoceanografía y cambio Climático. Evolución del clima de las latitudes bajas durante el Plioceno y el Cuaternario. Sensibilidad térmica oceánica a variaciones en la concentración atmosférica de gases de efecto invernadero durante las glaciaciones y cambio en el nivel del mar durante el Plio-Pleistoceno. Reconstrucción paleoclimática a partir de archivos terrestres y marinos (i.e. corales, sedimentos marinos y lacustres y estalacmitas) utilizando proxies (i.e. paleotermometría de Mg/Ca, isótopos estables y razones elementales).
