Current Field of Research
- Our current research interest resides in the regulation of the alkaloid synthesis in Catharanthus roseus, Argemone mexicana and habanero pepper (Capsicum chínense). Our projects are related to the identification and isolation of genes involved in the synthesis of such metabolites, as well as to studies on the environmental and developmental cues that control their expression.
